Sharing My Love for Garden to Table Recipes

Is it possible for me to grow and cultivate my own garden?

YES! While I am totally capable of growing my own garden, there are just some things that moms do better. And even though, yes, I’m a mom now, my mom just simply does it better. My mom has always been one of the most amazing gardeners ever. With such a small part of her backyard dedicated to growing, she yields almost as much fruits and vegetables like a real farm. From my mom, I have this undying love for Garden to Table recipes.

The Difference Between Farm and Garden

The biggest difference between farm to table and garden to table is the DIY and love that is put into it. While farmers raise thousands of vegetables and fruits each year, we can only harvest a few in our gardens. So many days and efforts are put into watering, planting, and growing a garden of perfect vegetables. I think all the effort and love behind growing them yourself really makes a difference. We’re able to have vegetables that are almost double, even triple the size of the ones found in the grocery store.

Because These are Some Serious Organics

Because of the 2 family cats who spend the whole summer in the backyard, the garden is free from birds, most insects and other small animals. I think because of the kitties, the garden and vegetables are able to grow as freely as they do. With just a daily watering and occasional addition of compost, the plants are able to grow to their liking all summer. Each year, we wait until the veggies are basically picking themselves. Then, once picked they are so incredibly ripe and filled with so much flavor. They are also always insanely giant – like have you ever seen a zucchinni this big before?!

I’m so lucky that this year my mom decided to plant zuchinni, because it’s one of my favorite vegetables! There are so many possibilities – both savory and sweet. Check out some of my favorite Zucchinni recipes below:
