Stocking Up on Our Favorite Snacks for School

Stocking Up on Our Favorite Snacks for School

Every mom’s life contains tiny daily battles between the snacks kids want and the snacks that are good for them. Having two picky eaters at home who like completely different snacks makes shopping a bit more challenging.
While we’re out shopping for school gear at Walmart, we head onto the grocery section too to pick up some snacks. I always choose Yoplait yogurt-based products for before, during, and after school snacks. They’re a huge hit with the kids, and I love knowing that they’re eating snacks that are good for their growing bodies too (that’s a BIG mom win for me!) The huge range of snacks and flavors has something each of them loves – and finding them all at Walmart means more grocery savings.

For Busy Mornings

Between getting 2 kids ready, getting ready for work, dropping off at preschool and elementary school, and making lunches, yeah – I could say our mornings are busy. I don’t always have the time to make the kind of savory breakfast I would like, so for busy mornings, I reach for YOP drinkable yogurt and Yoplait Smoothies. They come in a bunch of different fruit flavors and pair perfectly with quick oats and cereals. I love that they’re packaged for on the go and can be consumed on the way to school!

Our Favorite Lunch Box Snack

The best mid-day break growing up was lunchtime. My mom always used to pack me a cool tube of Go-Gurt by Yoplait. After a filling lunch, it was the perfect little treat. Now that I’m a mom, I go with Go-Gurt too! I love popping a few in the freezer the night before – then packing them in the cooler part of the lunch bag. At lunchtime, the boys get to enjoy a mini frozen yogurt!

The Perfect After School Treat

Heading home after a long day of school calls for a yummy treat! After learning and playing so much, the boys are ready for a snack as soon as we get home. One of my go to’s is the Vanilla Go-Gurt Dunkers from Yoplait. It’s a combo of low-fat vanilla yogurt with chocolate graham sticks. The boys love to dunk and snack on these before dinner. They love them because it’s a sweet yummy treat, and I love that they’re eating a delicious snack without any artificial colors or flavors.

My Latest Mom Hack for Back to School Shopping

Walmart is our go-to store for all things back to school. Sometimes I have a tough time heading into the store with both of them – especially when one is hyper and the other is grumpy (but hey, mom life right?). I recently switched over to using their online grocery pick up. While we’re playing at home, or even when they’re napping, I can order everything they need for school – like backpacks, crayons, uniforms, fruits, and even Yoplait too! We love saving money and as a growing family, finding everything we need in one location is the best! I schedule my pickups at the most convenient time for us, then we just have to head over to pick them up. It’s so much easier and way less stressful than trying to remember everything on my list with 2 crazy kids.
