Hooray for all the moms, mamas, mummies and mommy’s out there. Mother’s Day is the one day a year that our kids and husbands give us time to celebrate with our mom friends. We can all sit back and relax with the perfect drink, good company, and tasty brunch.
Does anyone else miss their moms, sisters, grandmothers, and friends this Mother’s Day? Me too. There’s a bit of a distance between us, so this year we’re saving the stress of going all out on a Mother’s Day celebration. I’m hosting a virtual Mother’s Day celebration for all of my favorite women and mother’s.
I think that the perfect party is made up of a few small elements that make a big impact. As moms, we don’t need or expect much – but there are things that we really cherish:
- The chance to get dolled up
- A day with well-behaved family
- Being able to laugh and remember cherished moments with loved ones
- Pampering and not having to lift a finger!
How to Host a Virtual Mother’s Day Celebration
I decided to host my Mother’s Day celebration before the big day. On Mother’s Day I like to have my boys plan something special for me, after all I get to celebrate this day because of them. I invited my sister, mom, grandmother, and a few of our family friends via email to an online party chat room. It was a little different, but overall, really special to be able to see everyone just like any other Mother’s Day.
What You Need for a Mother’s Day Celebration
Of course, no Mother’s Day can be without fresh cut flowers. As a surprise, I’ve sent my beautiful mommy friends fresh cut tulips (just like mine!) in their favorite colors. While it’s a small gesture, I know it will brighten up their Mother’s Day.
Now it’s time to call in the husbands! The dads need to take over with the kids and give us moms some time to chat. I suggest sending them out for a bike ride around the block. I know that will take care of mine for a few hours…
No Mother’s Day celebration can go without a signature drink. While some like to go for the classic ‘Mom-osa’ I’m in love with my ‘Mama-rita’s. It’s a classic Margarita made just for moms in my Drinkworks Home Bar. I’ve turned the Drinkworks Home Bar Margarita into my Mama-rita by sharing it with my mommy friends. We all LOVE the classic recipe of the Margarita and the Drinkworks Home Bar makes it so easy and fast. The Margarita pod is made with real ingredients and premium spirits too. With the placement of the pod and the push of a button, I can recreate my perfect cocktail and get back to celebrating with my girlfriends.
How are you celebrating this Mother’s Day?
