The Best Books for Bloggers and Influencers – Grow Your Personal Brand and Influence

I used to love reading when I was growing up. I like to think I’m a pretty fast reader too. I developed this little skill in college that I can read the first and last sentence of a paragraph, skim the middle and know all the facts. But of course as we grow up, the reading stopped being for fun and started being for studying and I fell out of love with it. Life got so busy, that I just couldn’t find the time to read any books. Until recently, I was gifted a book by my dad, and I was like, okay, I’m gonna read this. My dad bought me the very popular book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I’m looking to grow my business and help Brandon grow his, so this was the perfect book to get me into the entrepreneurial mindset.

My favorite books that have helped me grow my brand and self-worth

Think and Grow Rich – Napoleon Hill

This is such a good eye-opening book for people who want to make it on their own and be entrepreneurs. I don’t even want to dissect it, just read it.

Desire Map – Danielle LaPorte

So, I kind of know what I want, but I don’t know how to break it down. Sometimes I think I’m dreaming too big or sometimes not smart enough. This book helped me really break down what I want in life. Not just goal or career-wise, but also personally – like who I want to be remembered as.
If you are in a lost space and want some guidance, just read it.

Get Your Shit Together – Sara Knight

This book wasn’t one of my favorite reads. I mostly skimmed through it because the author adds in comparisons and pet names on every. Damn. Point she makes. Through the first few chapters it was ok, but then it got annoying.
All in all, it was a great read. It definitely helped me get my shit together (kinda) and taught me a few new ideas on time management.
My favorite takeaway from this book was that you need to create a to-do list. But, not to just throw everything onto a list that you never look at because it gives you an anxiety attack to see it not being completed. You should create a master to-do list and write out each project and each step that it has. Then, you should categorize what tasks are must do’s to get your master to-do list done.
I love that. She put it as, ‘creating manageable chunks’ and I’m like, I can manage chunks, I can do one or two little tasks each day that will help me achieve an empty to-do list.

The Pursuit of Perfection

I couldn’t post a picture holding this book and not mention it right? My photographer asked, ‘do you like this book because of the content, that it matches your aesthetic, or that it’s only $1?’

Answer: All of the above.

Outfit Details

These shoes have been my #1 favorite shoe purchase of all time. They are so comfortable because of the block heel – I can wear them for a few hours without crying. They also go with just about every outfit, every style, and every occasion. One of my favorite investments (everything over $100 is an investment) and I will be wearing them for years still.

I just needed this dress when I saw it in Zara. The fabric is so luxurious, and the cut is just beautiful. This was also an investment piece – however, I will justify it. The dress is styled to be like a suit coat and it’s just lovely. I could pair it with any color heel, jacket or accessory and be ready for any event. It’s modest, feminine and sexy all in one!
