Where’re all my pear-shaped ladies at?
While it’s the ‘hottest body type’ thanks to influencers and celebrities like Kim Kardashian, styling a pear-shaped body is a bit challenging – especially when it comes to formal wear. Many dresses and gowns tend to make us feel out of place. They either draw way too much attention to my hips and butt or fit in a way that isn’t flattering at all. I’ve been struggling with styling my pear-shaped body ever since my hips came in in the eighth grade.
We all know how it feels to feel ‘hippy’. Especially if you have thicker thighs and a larger derriere. Some styles bring all the attention to our hips and give a wider effect, while others completely avoid the hip and produce the bubble butt effect. Personally, I like to style in ways that accent my body’s natural curves instead of hiding them. While it can make you feel a bit sexier than you might like, having a more modestly cut dress will remove and self doubt. Here are some tips to find the best styles for pear-shaped bodies.
