Where Will Your SmarTrike Adventure Take You?

Mommy, I want to go on an adventure.

Logan is completely obsessed with traveling and exploring lately. Anytime we leave the house he’s always asking where are we going, mommy? Then, where are we going next? We love to seek new adventures and summer is the perfect time to find them. Whether it’s exploring the neighborhood or searching for the perfect spot on the beach, smarTrike 300 Plus 6 in 1 folding trike is here to take us everywhere!

Reasons Children Need to Explore

  • It promotes hands-on learning
  • Encourages self-confidence
  • Teaches responsibility
  • Reassures trust and love in children
  • Prepares them for the future by learning how to adapt to changing situations
  • Adventure promotes a stronger family bond

Giving children the opportunity to explore is an important first step to their independence. From an early age, Logan has been very independent and has wanted to do everything himself. smarTrike gives kids the independence they want while giving parents the safety features they need. Babies as young as 10 months old (with the ability to sit up comfortably and safely on their own) are able to ride!

With 6 different stages, smarTrike comfortably fits children up to 36 months. As they grow older and perfect their motor skills, they are able to take the reins and drive the tricycle themselves. I still feel a little uncertain with Logan’s ability to navigate the roads. We are able to share control of the trike. He is pedaling and pretending to steer while mommy is helping to guide him along.

smarTrike Can Take You Anywhere

This summer, smarTrike is our preferred mode of transportation. We’re planning on being active and visiting lots of different places, exploring new routes, and of course trying new things! When we’re traveling somewhere that isn’t really toddler driver-friendly (like a busy street or public place) I just switch the smarTrike into parent mode. Both the pedals and steering bar lock so I have control while pushing it. I love that smarTrike switches back and forth between an assisted to free riding tricycle.

When we make it back to a comfortable sidewalk or boardwalk along the beach, I can quickly convert the tricycle to be a free rider. Within a few seconds, we’re strapping on Logan’s big boy helmet so he can ride on his own. He’s getting so much better at riding on his own! Taking often little breaks throughout the day to ride freely is giving him more time to practice and get familiar with riding. It’s starting to be one of our favorite day-off hobbies!

Small Space Friendly

While traveling we can’t always find the space for extra equipment. Even at home, our small condo doesn’t have much space for fun accessories. Luckily, smarTrike folds up super tiny – smaller than most strollers! With the traveling case, it takes up only a tiny spot in our trunk. For days that we headed to the beach or amusement parks, we were actually able to keep it safe at the reception/information desk.

Try This with Your smarTrike

Pack a lunch, some snacks, and water. Then head out to a new part of your town and spend the day exploring as a family. We recently headed out to Niagara Falls with Logan – a beautiful landmark that we don’t appreciate as much as we should. We had a lot of fun exploring the different parks in free tricycle mode, then bringing him back to parent mode when we headed back to the busier areas.

My favorite thing is that the handy basket stays on in every mode. It’s quite roomy too – I was able to fit snacks, drinks, and also my whole purse inside! I keep the travel carrying case in the basket for folding while we’re on the go. smarTrike can actually be folded up and pulled just like a suitcase when it’s not being used.
