Sunday Funday!
We spent the weekend at Canada’s Wonderland checking out all their new rides, delicious restaurants, and of course the water park! Logan had a blast meeting Chase and Marshal from Paw Patrol inside the kid’s zone! We got to try a much of other new activities too 😊 Kids Fest at Canada’s Wonderland is on now until August 2nd with new characters, shows, and activities every day!
As soon as we walked into the park, we were hungry. At the entrance, we’re greeted with delicious smells from Starbucks, Pizza, and Funnel Cake. Instead of heading to the rides, we headed straight for Pizza Pizza – there are a few located around the park. We opted for a full-sized pizza, which was perfect for the whole family. I loved their reuseable bottle option. Throughout the park, there are different Coca-Cola refill zones, and you can refill as many times as you like – PLUS, you get to bring home a cute bottle to use anytime!
SplashWorks at Canada’s Wonderland
Right after picking up our pizza, we headed to SplashWorks. We propped down under one of their giant shady umbrellas and dug right into our food. The boys finished quickly and headed right into the wave pool. Logan was having so much fun jumping and rolling over the waves. But his favorite part was the giant tipping bucket. He kept pulling us back under to get soaked! We were also able to try a few different water slides with him that were a big hit! We didn’t want to lead SplashWorks, but as the clouds covered the sun, it was the perfect time for some rides.
Rides for Little Ones at Canada’s Wonderland
I was a bit concerned that we weren’t going to be able to do much with Logan – he’s only 2 years old. I was so happy when we walked into Planet Snoopy and saw so many different rides. Most of the rides he was able to go on alone, but if not, I was able to ride with him. Our favorite of the day was the Taxi Jam – the mini roller coaster in KidsVille. Brandon snuck off to ride the Yukon Striker, the new ride at Canada’s Wonderland in 2019. I was a bit jealous. But after riding Taxi Jam a few more times with Logan, I was set 🙂
KidsFest at Canada’s Wonderland
We headed out to Canada’s Wonderland this past weekend to check out KidsFest with the kids! Canada’s Wonderland was one of my favorite places to go as a kid and Brandon’s too! There’s so much to do and to see. We decided that Logan was finally ready to go to the most fun place in Toronto. It just so happened that KidsFest was happening this weekend. KidsFest is a festival just for the kids! They have special activities set up throughout KidsVille. Such as:
- Character Meet & Greets
- Live Shows
- Character Appearances
- Foam Pits
- Music & Bands
- Dance Parties
- and more!
We were excited to meet our favorite Marvel superheroes. Logan was a bit nervous, but he was so excited to see the superheroes from Captain America! We also got to meet our favorites from Paw Patrol. Logan has been so obsessed with Paw Patrol lately, and getting to see his favorite character Chase, in real life, brought the biggest smile to his face!
Tips for Going to Canada’s Wonderland
Wear a Hat – and sunglasses too for that matter!
Don’t Overpack – you don’t need to bring too much with you to Canada’s Wonderland – especially when it comes to food. There are so many delicious options at the park. Plus, it beats carrying snacks all day.
Bring a Stroller – or a wagon. The kids are going to get tired and there is a lot of ground to cover around the park. If you don’t have a stroller or wagon, don’t worry! You can rent one for the day at guest services.
Apply Sunscreen – being out in the sun all day, sunscreen is a must! I love the Coola Sun Silk Creme. It’s lightweight and certified organic – it can be used on the face and body.
Wear Comfortable Shoes – Canada’s Wonderland is huge! Be sure to save your feet and wear a comfortable pair of sneakers or running shoes. Plus, most rides don’t allow flip flops.
We’re already planning our next trip to Canada’s Wonderland. We’re thinking either for Oktober Fest or for their famous Halloween Haunt 🙂
