One of my biggest goals for this new decade is to make more time for my family and friends. Spending quality time with the people I love just makes my heart feel warmer. Me and my girlfriends have agreed to have more girl time. But with this disappointing weather, we’re opting for more girls’ nights in – and honestly, that’s the way I like it. Spending a night in with my best friends is my favorite way to catch up on the latest gossip and the newest movie releases. Here are some of my tips on how to throw the best girls night in.
Steps for Setting up the Best Girls Night In
Step 1: Snacks.
The first thing on my mind when planning for my gals to come over, is the treats. I want to share something yummy with my best gals. I love going all out with snacks and drinks to make our night in feel as fun as going out to a trendy bar.
Step 2: Entertainment
While we could talk and talk for hours on end, having something to do helps keep the gossip to a minimum. I love hosting a movie girls night in. Tonight, we’re watching HUSTLERS – starring Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, and more.
Step 3: Mood
I like to keep the mood fun and light for a girls night in. Keeping the night free of expectations lets us relax and really enjoy what we’re doing. In this case, we’re learning some new tips from the cast of HUSTLERS on how to potentially take over the world – no? just a thought…

Reasons We ALL Need More Girls Nights In
If I’ve learned anything from Hustlers, it’s that your girlfriends can make your day brighter (even if its just getting you into a sneaky situation). We all need more time with our girlfriends because:
Celebrate each other – no one appreciates the wins (big or small) that women make than other women. Getting together with your girlfriends gives us the opportunity to celebrate each other and encourage more accomplishments by women.
Laughter is the best medicine – no matter what is happening, we all need a good laugh. We share so many laughs (and gasps) while watching HUSTLERS. Not going to lie, we also might have gotten a few sneaky ideas along the way. After a good girls’ night, we’re all feeling better after sharing laughs with friends.
I can relate girl – Sometimes we just need a good ear and some advice – and no one gives me better advice than my best friends.
Encourage girl power – girls run the world! We need more moments to encourage each other to take risks and take over the world.
