How I’m Getting More Energy to Play with My Kids

Looking back at it, I haven’t been feeling like myself lately. My New Years resolution for 2020 was to get healthier to have more energy to play with my kids. However, like many parents – life gets in the way. I lost motivation and know how when life started getting busy just after February. Then with the lockdown and being at home and homeschooling, all motivation, energy and know how for my health plan walked out the door.

Today, Im starting this three phase plan to change my whole energy and personal outlook. I’m currently reading the new book by Joel Marion, Always Eat After 7pm – I really needed some guidance and new information on healthy living. To this point, Joel has explained different scientific facts and actual reasons behind this new healthy lifestyle.This is my favorite takeaway from the book so far:

Always Eat After 7pm has so many good tips for a newbie (or someone who has forgotten about a healthy lifestyle)! I chose this book as my healthy living motivator because I really wanted to learn more about my body and how it works and reacts to food. In the past, I’ve fallen into certain trending diets and have stuck to some beliefs about eating in general. One of my personal rules has always been to use dinner as my last meal.

So, when I read the book title, Always Eat After 7pm, I was a little taken back – but also intrigued. I was wondering if there really were reasons to eat outside of this time constraint I have some how set up for myself. When you jump back into a healthy lifestyle, you need to learn more about it so you can actually maintain it. One of the best motivators to help you stay on track is to continuously learn about healthy living. While I feel like I know my fair share, picking up a great book like this to help you gain a new perspective and learn more tips and tricks can actually increase the longevity of your lifestyle changes.
