DIY Easy Pumpkin Sweaters – Cheap Halloween Costume

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice. I have this weird obsession with pumpkins and Halloween. I’ve always loved it the most. I’m obsessed with getting dressed up and I love sweets. I’m so excited to take Loggy bear out for his first real Halloween this year. We might actually make it to a few houses. I’ve already got him practicing his ‘trick-or-treats’ and ‘thank you’s’.

We went to the pumpkin patch and it was crazy. I have never seen so many pumpkins in my dang life. Like this is a CRAZY sea of orange! Check out all our pictures below from the patch, and how I DIY made these cute Easy Family Pumpkin Sweaters for us.

What You’ll Need:

-orange sweater/shirt (new or used)

-iron

-glitter or regular black iron-on transfer sheets

Shop online HERE.

-iron sheet/tea towel

-ironing board

-scissors

How to Make Pumpkin Sweaters for your Family:

Step 1 – Find some inspo online for your pumpkin face. Or go with the classic missing teeth smile and triangle eyes. I added in a cute heart nose.

Step 2 – Lay the shirt flat on the ironing board. Turn on the iron to cotton setting.

Step 3 – Cut out the face shapes. Peel back the clear protective layer on the back side of the glitter sheet. Then arrange it on the shirt.

Step 4 – Place the tea towel over top. Place the iron on for 30 seconds.

Step 5 – Flip the shirt around and iron around for about 3-5 minutes. Always keep your iron moving.

**The instructions I followed didn’t work. I ended up wasting a bunch of the sheet because the shapes didn’t stick. They needed a lot more heat. The recommended above time is what I used to achieve my shirts. Please carefully read instructions and be aware of the cautions of using an iron.**
