A Dreamy Girls Getaway to Ste. Annes Spa – Only 1 Hour from Toronto

WE NEEDED THIS

Words can’t begin to describe how much we needed this little getaway. I moved away from home when I was seventeen, and before that, my mom was my best friend. We spent almost every day together and did so much fun stuff. But since I moved away from home, we haven’t been able to spend much one on one time with each other. This weekend we were heading to Ste. Annes Spa for a little mother-daughter retreat, that was way over due. My mom has never experienced something like this before, and I was so excited to be sharing this experience with her. We were going to be having a full relaxing weekend at the spa – filled with high tea, beautiful nature, quality time, and lots of soul rejuvenation. Keep reading for my full review of Ste. Annes Spa.

About Ste. Annes Spa

Ste. Annes Spa is the number one spa retreat from Toronto. It is a relaxing country getaway that feels familiar even on your first trip. The staff is exceptional and experienced in their duties to offer you the best in relaxation. What I love most about Ste. Annes Spa is the atmosphere. Just pulling onto the property, you are transported into this oasis. There is so much attention to detail to make the entire property a healing place. It is the perfect retreat for family, friends, and couples!

Rejuvenating Spa Experience at Ste. Annes Spa

Stress weighs heavily on the skin, and I wanted to try some of the signature services that Ste. Annes Spa is known for. We started our day with a Nourishing Seaweed Body wrap. Which involved dry brushing, a seaweed body mask, followed by a tight warm wrap. I haven’t experienced a body wrap before, it was very relaxing. When it was finished I could feel my skin glowing.

Our second service was Ste. Annes Signature Facial which I highly recommend. For a full body envigorating experience, the facial begins with a light foot scrub. Then, the facial begins with a cleanse, massage, 2 masks, and then lotion to finish. While waiting for the mask to dry, the facialist gavev me a quick hair treatment too. It helped bring back moisture to my extremely dry hair. Thanks to my facialist, Steph, I came out of the therapy room feeling like a new woman. When I met my mom in the lobby after, we were both floating from relaxation. The Ste. Annes Signature Facial is a must when visiting Ste. Annes.

Staying at Ste. Annes Spa

Ste. Annes Spa has several rooms in their main property as well as cottages around 400 acres on the proprty. Each room is renovated to feel like you’re staying in a friends home. The rooms are very comfortable and welcoming – and very, very spacious.

We stayed in the Birdson cottage. It has 3 separate cottage rooms, with shared dining/kitchen space, hot tub, and a patio. Our room was called the Eagle’s Nest cottage. Coming from a tiny Toronto condo, I was in heaven. We have never known space like this – especially in the bathroom! There was more than enough room for my mom and I – and even though it was spacious we felt very cozy. Staying overnight after our spa day was the perfect end to the day. We didn’t feel rushed to leave and we were able to enjoy the sunset from our room.

Dining at Ste. Annes Spa

Meals are offered throughout the day at Ste. Annes Spa depending on your length of stay. We were able to try each of the meals throughout the day. I love Ste. Annes Spa because it is one place that I don’t have to worry about what I’m going to eat. They have a wide menu with vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and allergy wise options. I was actually able to order a vegan dish for each one of my meals! A must try is the Matcha Almond Milk Latte and the Vegetable Gnocchi.

Amenities at Ste. Annes Spa

Ste. Annes Spa has various ammenities both indoor and outdoor. In between spa services or meals we were free to roam around the property at our discretion. Besides having our spa services scheduled, being able to take a seat and relax in the gardens, or beside the pool is very relaxing. Where ever you feel like you need to unwind, you’re free to do so. My favorite amenity at Ste. Annes Spa is the Eucalyptus Steam Room. The steam rooms is enfused with Eucalyptus essential oil and is so relaxing. Sitting in the steam room even for a few minutes is clearing for all problems in the mind and body.

We took the walk back and forth maybe more times than we needed to because it was that perfect.
