Are you Happy?
Life seems to be getting a bit tough recently. There are so many things that I have to plan and prep for the summer. Not to mention my daily mommy duties. I just don’t have much time left to stop and smell the roses. I’ve been falling far from the self-care routine. I put the effort in last week to apply tape in extensions, but I haven’t had the time to style them, let alone edit the video tutorial I made. Recently, I’ve been taking some steps to simplify my life and live a more minimalist lifestyle. There are so many things cluttering my mind and literally cluttering my home. I wanted to share some of my favorite ways that I’ve been simplifying my life to make myself happier:
- Make your bed after you wake up
- Carry a water bottle with you everywhere
- Set monthly SMART goals (fitness, work, money, dating, travel, etc.)
- Spend 30 minutes decluttering every day
- Get rid of toxic people
- Prep for the next day nightly (meals, outfits, schedule)
- Learn to say no
- Get automation on everything you can
- Spend one day in nature a week
- Make the difficult decisions and stick to your choices
- Don’t check your email inbox until 10 am
- Write your to-do list in a notebook and assign them priority
- Meet with your friends or family every week
- Try new recipes or restaurants
- Spend less time on social media
- Make time for exercise
- Eat one extra serving of fruits and vegetables every day
- Get to bed at the same time every night
- Find a hobby that makes you happy
- Set a plan to get on track with your finances and pay off debt
- Try and get in 10,000 steps every day
- Find your priorities in life
- Stretch
- Find a good show or 2 to relax with
- Read a book or magazine
- Use a calendar or planner to set visual timelines
- Make dates (with yourself, parents, loved one, kids) to let loose and have fun
- Have some go to’s (meals, outfits, etc.)
- Slow the heck down
Tips to Be Happier Today:
One thing that stresses me out is sitting at home, the other biggest stressor for me is not having content to share with you guys. My easy remedy is to explore the city with my photographer. I took a leap to make myself a little happier this week and spent some time walking through Toronto with my photographer, Haris. It’s been a while since we shot together and this was honestly so much fun! It helped get the content and work monkey off my back while also letting me do the things I love. I’m so happy to share some of the looks we shot with you guys here! I also love editing photos! So I’ve been working on this new present that I’m testing on these photos. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

This jumpsuit fits like a glove and I just love it so much. The ruffled straps are so darling and I’m just obsessed! This summer striped romper is by Eliza J Dresses and it’s available at Dillard’s. Shop my outfit below.
My tan is compliments of the Coola sunless tan luminizing body serum. The formula is really light and it gradually tans my body. It’s perfect to put on before going out because it gives your skin a sweet little sparkle! Details below too!
