Monika Boch Blog is the lifestyle blog of Monika, a style expert.

This creative space is dedicated to inspiring and motivating women around the world.

Hi I’m Monika.

I’m getting married to my best friend, Brandon – and I’m a mama to my sweet little Logan. Brandon and I met when I was 16 and he was 21 on POF.com (can you believe it? – I’m a little embarrassed to admit this is out story). On our first date, we decided what to name our babies, on our second date he asked me to be his girlfriend, and here we are 5 years later.

I’ve been a bit frantic the past few years. I went to school for Hair Styling, Fashion Business, Design, Marketing, and Nutrition. I tried waitressing, modeling, fitness blogging, and owning an Etsy shop. I finally committed to blogging and I fell in love. Finally, a career that I could live with passion every day.

I love sharing my honest opinions in this creative space. My main goal is to give you the inspiration to recreate and create your own looks.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me!

FAQ

Why did you start your blog?

I started my blog as a creative outlet for myself. I started it in January 2017 officially. It has been one of my proudest accomplishments to date. When I was pregnant with Logan, I was spending all of my time alone at home. As a way to keep me from falling into a depression, I started The Toronto Baby Mama Blog. It was my first blog! I wanted to talk about all things mommy and pregnancy, as it was all that consumed my mind. After Logan was born, I had a little lull. I wasn’t really sure if I wanted to continue blogging or what my journey would be.  I used to love fashion and beauty so much – I went to fashion college, hair stylist school and an esthetician program. Those are my passions. So, I decided to start Mamablondeinka Blog. A creative space for me to share my favorite beauty hacks + tutorials, fashion steals + inspiration, and my first reason for blogging: motherhood.

What does Mamablondeinka mean?

Mama-Blonde-inka. I’m a Mama to my little cutie Logan. I’m a retired brunette, I’ve officially been a Blonde for 4 years now, and I feel like it’s something I was born to be. My name is Monika – which I know nika is not inka, but that I don’t have an explanation for…

How do you define your style?

I’ve always been that extra girl. I woke up extra early in high school to get my makeup perfect, set my extensions and plan my outfit. I love to look and feel like a beauty queen.

“It’s always better to be over dressed than under dressed”

On an average day I can either be seen in 2 looks: total mommy gear – lululemon leggings, slides, messy bun and full makeup, or, a total glammazoid – lashes, heels, curls and a complete styled look.

Let’s just say if I could have a glam team and a stylist on hand 24/7 or a full time nanny, I would pick the glam team.

Who is your style inspiration?

I love and always have loved Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton + Nicole Richie.

I get most of my style inspiration from old issues of Vogue that I have saved up in my moms basement. I also love Pinterest, Women’s Wear Daily and Who What Wear.

My favorite Bloggers are @holliewdwrd @ellabrooksblog and @ohhcouture

How old are you?

A secret I don’t know if I should really share online, Ha! I’m in my early 20s and I will be for the next few years.

Where are you from?

I’m Polish, both of my parents are 100% Polish. They came to Canada in 1982 and have been living in Niagara ever since. I moved to Toronto with Brandon when I was 17 to start at a Fashion College. We’ve been living around the city since then.
